I don't think anyone who likes real vampires would ever pick twilight. Harry Potter is a better story anyways. Many more mystical creatures are in Harry Potter anyways.

Not only that i think harry potter trys to reach a wider audiance while twilight has a defined set audiance target

That's true. Harry Potter appeals to everyone while twilight is mainly amied at females. Harry Potter has also been around longer and has more action in it. Twilight is primarily a love story.

yes well...this is where most people have read manga/anime (some containing vampires) and know that real vampires dont sparkle. nor look like edward cullen. :)

Haha I'm not really into vampires so I don't mind so much the sparklyness its manly the overall crappiness of the book and the overrated-ness of it that bothers me.

I've never met a sparkly vampire. If i ever did met one I'd kill him and bury him some where people would never find him. Vampires don't sparkle and it should stay that way.

I mean they are supose to be able to blend in so that they can feed easly whats they point in beening a hunter if a bit of light shows what you are

true but keep in mind they normally werent made to hunt an eat animals ( in twilight). they r suppose to be "good looking" so that they can lure in their prey ( which are humans).

The sparkly thing is just a twist on the burning in sunlight thing, just shoved in there so Edward's precious oh-so-beautiful gorgeously perfetly-angled, mind-blowing face doesn't melt ;D Either way traditional vampires can't go out in sunlight, that's why they're creatures of the night.

It think that given enough time Vampires might be able to endure short pierods of sunlight. They would have to be old enough or give up something to walk in the light though.

Oh you all seemed to enjoy this topic. I pick neither side never read either books, and only watched the first movie for both. Not so much interesterd in Harry Potter or Twilight.
