Takeshi Kudo, creator of Pokemon passed away at the age 61. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency  surgery after collapsing at Nara railway in the smoking section in Nara City in the month of October on Thursday the 29th. The cause of his death was determined by the hospital's emergency care center, he had suffered a subarachnoid hermorrhage in his head.

I heard just awhile ago of his death from my Pokemon fan friends of the original Pokemon. Since he had supervised the scripts on the original Pokemon television anime series and had wrote several of the movies, including the first three.

His other works include Idol Tenshi Youkoso Yoko,Legend of the Galactic HeroesMartian Successor Nadesico, and Tokusou Kihei Dorvack. As recently as this year, he was working with Dogakobo and Gonzo on a new character project called Cheer Figu!
