Ok so just like Chris did for a few of the winter animes I'm going to review the first episode of some of the series I watch. Happy Kappy is a great children's show. It's short just a little over five and a half minutes so kids will be able to watch the entire thing without getting jumpy. The story is about a nine year old girl who loves making fashion accessories. She meets Kappy on her way to find a stone to finish her bracelet with. At first she freaks out but quickly overcomes her surprise to feed the hungry Prince Kapya donut. On a scale of 1 to 5 I give i a 4.5 for young children.

kidsKids' show from Shogakukan. Suguri is a nine-year-old girl who loves animals and making fashion accessories. One day, while she is out buying materials for accessories, she comes across an unusual rock. Thinking it would look cute on a bracelet, she goes to pick it up and discovers a creature named Kappy. Kappy turns out to be the three-year-old prince of Kapimeshia. (from ann)
Katou Emiri stars, following her triumph as Kyuube in Madoka Magica. And lovely weirdo Gotou Saori is in the cast. With roles in five new shows, perhaps her career is beginning to move again.
This is Minezawa Takuya's first directoral job. On the other hand, writer Konparu Tomoko is one of the most experienced anime writers, having done NANA, Nodame Cantabile, Chi's Sweet Home, Kimi ni Todoke, etc., etc.
This may be a kids' show, but the staff and cast make me want to take a look.
